Do you support MySQL & CGI/Perl Scipts?

Yes. We run MySQL server version 5. The control panel allows you to set up and edit MySQL tables through the use of SQL query language. Furthermore every site comes with its own CGI-BIN to allow you to run your own perl scripts.

How do I access my emails?

All hosting accounts are equipped with web based e-mail, which can be accessed through http://webmail.yourdomainname.com. For further details, please revert to your sign up letter. We offer the following webmail services:

  • Horde
  • Squirell Mail
  • Roundcube

You will be able to send and receive e-mail through our servers using an email client such as Entourage, Outlook, Mail, Thunderbird. In technical terms, we provide both POP3 and SMTP capabilities. Kindly note that domain name registration without hosting does not include email services or hosting space. IMAP services can be set up for an additional fee upon request by the client.

What do I do if my site is still not active after notification?

If you have received a notification e-mail and it's been over 48 hours, it means either that you did not point your domain name to the right DNS servers, or that your ISP's DNS server has not yet been updated. It generally takes 24 hours for domain names to become active. Kindly ensure that you refresh your browser when testing your domain.

What control panel is offered with your hosting packages?

We allow our clients to manage their hosting packages using cPANEL control panel. All details on how to login and how to manage your hosting package will be supplied when your account is created and configured for your use. You will be supplied with a temporary password, which we urge users to change when they login for the first time. Should you have any problems using cPANEL please confer to the online documentation and the manual supplied to you during hosting setup.

How long does it take Futuresoft to set up my hosting account?

Generally it takes 24 hours to set up your hosting account after payment has been received. Should this timeline be exceeded, kindly ensure that you contact a sales representative of Futuresoft immediately so that your account can be set up without further delays.

How can I subscribe to a hosting plan online?

Step 1:
Choose hosting plan and send an email to
hosting@futuresoft-ng.com to retain details on how to make payment .

Step 2:
Make payment using one of the payment methods once official invoice has been received.

Step 3:
Send payment confirmation. Your account will be set up as soon as the payment has been confirmed. You will then receive an with following details:

  • A confirmation of the plan details
  • The DNS/registrar changes
  • A username and temporary password
  • A link to the control panel
  • Instant access to FTP and email features
  • Links to your knowledge base, FAQ and helpdesk

What's a website template ?

Does the hosting plan include website development?

Your hosting plan does not include website development charges. If you are interested in Futuresoft designing your website, kindly contact us on info@futuresoft-ng.com for further details.

All packages however include:

  • 1 free domain name unless specified otherwise
  • Control panel login: This feature provides a simple way for the client to manage domain names, e-mail addresses and websites. The control panel used is called cPANEL and is browser-based, thus it can be accessed at any time.
  • User guide: A guide to assist you in navigating your cPANEL login account.
  • Fire-wall: The Futuresoft Server is equipped with a high-level state-of-the-art firewall that protects your data.
  • Virus Scanner: Symantec CarrierScan will keep all mailboxes safe. Incoming e-mails are checked at the border of our network, before they reach your inbox.
  • Spam-filter: All e-mail accounts are equipped with Spam filtering technology. You will be able to customize the level of protection that best suits your needs – low, medium, or high.
  • POP3/SMTP/IMAP: You can set up your emails on your personal computer using Microsoft Outlook, Entourage, Mail, Thunderbird or any other e-mail client. IMAP will be set up for an additional fee, upon request of the client.
  • Webmail: You will be able to check your email on the Internet at any time using Horde, Squirrel or Roundcube webmail.
  • E-mail forwarding: You can easily divert all e-mails received under your domain addresses to any other external e-mail address.
  • E-mail autoresponder: You will be able to create an auto-responder to automatically reply to any e-mails sent to a particular address. This feature is ideal if for periods of absence or to let the sender know that their e-mail has been received.
  • Catch-all email addresses: This feature enables to capture all e-mails that have been sent to a non-existent e-mail address on your domain, which makes it ideal for recovering e-mails that are incorrectly addressed or misspelled.
  • SSH access
  • SSL encryption: A Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is the first line of defense against online intruders. The GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium Dedicated SSL Certificate provides for a safe exchange of information over the Internet and shows visitors that their transactions are secure.
